Intimate, thought-provoking, and deeply soulful are just a few of the words that come to mind when listening to Jessica Hawkes. Drawing from influences ranging from 60s soul to modern songwriting, she blends genres effortlessly, creating poetic moments carried by her smooth, lustrous voice. Jessica doesn’t hold back—she shares stories of struggle and resilience with honesty and grace, crafting music that feels both deeply personal and universally relatable.

Jessica’s solo career gained early momentum in New York under the moniker Nina Soro. Her second single, “Have It Your Way,” produced by Kenny Davis, landed on Spotify’s editorial playlist Mellow Morning, where it has since surpassed 2.6 million streams. She followed with “In Case I Never Told You,” “The Internet” (produced by Charles Myers), and “Pennies For Christmas” (produced by Carson Tworow and David Lavoie), completing the Nina Soro project.

Now creating under her given name, Jessica lives and works in Nashville, collaborating with producers Mark Siegel and Zach Hughes, and artists including Josh Tobias, Remy Garrison, Abigale Osborn, and Andrea Vasquez, among others.

In June 2024, Jessica earned her diploma in studio engineering from The Blackbird Academy, the renowned training program founded by John McBride. With over 100 hours of hands-on studio experience, fluency on consoles such as the Neve 8058, API, and SSL, and a sharp focus on editing and mixing, she brings a rare balance of creative instinct and technical precision to every project.
